X8CrNiS18 9 is an austenitic stainless steel that offers the most machinability then any other austenitic grade due to it’s inclusion of Sulphur in the composition. This does however lower the the corrosion resistance and toughness of this grade, though the toughness is still excellent as with other austenitic grades.
